This week!!

Has been ages since I've blogged.

This week hubby had the week off to get stuck into a few things here at home. He has done the shelving in our hallway linen cupboard, shelving in our office, tiled the ensuite floor and oiled the deck.

I found some great blinds from Bunnings on clearance, $10 each!! Rollers on the french doors and Roman for the office.

It's nice to see these things finally getting done.

 Kids love helping!

Hallway Cupboard. There will be a door on there, with these knobs..

I love these Sonata knobs, always wanted them but wasn't sure where to use them...so yeah, we've got 2 linen cupboards opposite in the hallway, so I think they'll go perfect there.

Office shelves, no door going here..just open.

See that purple section...thats a hidden door!!!!! Very cool, will be handy for christmas tree storage.

 Ensuite just after grouting.

 Just starting the deck....

Finished...excuse our cat..it didn't take her long to walk all over it..grr..

New Roman Blind for office, latte in colour.

New Charcoal Roller blinds.

Until next time,

Guinea pig week 1

Hi all,

So we have acquired two guinea pigs. Marley and Holly! (cute names) Good friends of ours have gone away and we're babysitting their guines pigs. To say Olivia enjoys having them here is a massive understatement.

This is Holly

Handmade 'guinea pig sling'..yep, so she can free up her hands and still be holding Marley!

Reading time for Marley

Oh, and we had playgroup at our place Monday and decided to try flour paints...cup of flour, water and food colouring!! Looks so pretty, kids loved it and easy to do!

Take care,
Liz

Green Thumbs Day!

Hi All,

Well the children and I embarked on an exciting venture this week. We created our first vegie garden! The kids loved it, and are looking forward to 'feeding' their plants everyday and watching them grow. Heres some photos from the big event...

Getting all geared up...

New watering can from Bunnings $6!

Secondhand wheelbarrow found at the dump shop.

In goes the potting mix..

 Watering time for Olivia..

And watering time for Henry! (note to self, get 2 watering cans next time)

So we've got Strawberries, Baby Carrots and Parsley! :) Will update their progress.

Hope your having a beautiful weekend.

New Mirror

Hi all,

I'm very excited. Take a look at this...

Isn't it just divine! I'm in love with it, picked it up cheap at The Tender Centre on the weekend. Thinking it'll be the focal point above the lounge amongst my photo wall.

Hope your having a wonderful Monday!

Colourful and organised

Yesturday I took a quick trip to the cheap shop and came home with these gorgeous colourful baskets. I desperately wanted to tidy the kids 'cutlery' cupboard...so here are some before and after photos. Organising is such a good feeling!

Messy!!

 Tidy!!

 Useable!!

And thought i'd include a picture taken from our dining table. I just love looking out and seeing gorgeous trees. We've got a lovely piece of earth as our home.

Have a gorgeous day!

New computer....f.i.n.a.l.l.y!!

I'm so happy to announce that we have finally got a new computer! Good bye elderley laptop! So I've started off with a 'new look' to my blog, I wanted more colour and spice!

Our home extension is plodding along nicely, i've decided to ditch the black and white ensuite idea...now going 'grey and white'. Inspiring from this...

We're using subway tiles also, same as the what we've used in our main bathroom!

I'm also newly addicted to Pinterest...such a brilliant time waster!

Littlest Little is awake, so thats my time -finished.

Cio,
Liz

Its been ages.........

since i've blogged. Finally did some uninstalling on this elderely laptop and pleased to say we have a semi-fast pc again. Hurrah! So heres a few pics of life in the last month or so...

We picked up this gorgeous lil blue timber stool from the local markets for $10. Sitting on top is Olivia's beloved red and white polka dot gumboots and beside is our grey laundry bucket!

 Stool gets used frequently...

Doing lots of cooking lately as it's been too cold to venture outdoors...

Yummo scones!!

Also I can across this awesome blog earlier and thought i'd share... http://dearlillieblog.blogspot.com/

And lastly...how excited am I about "the block" starting!! Katrina being a fellow designer off "the decorating forum" is on the show with her sister...cannot wait to see how they go!!

Take care and stay warm,
